Fireclay is a strong and durable material, used to handcraft sinks for hundreds of years. Sometimes confused with porcelain or ceramic, genuine fireclay is a reinforced clay, making it much stronger and ideal for everyday use. When combined with modern glazing technology, these fluted drainer have a non-porous and stain-resistant surface with antibacterial qualities, enabling easy cleaning and maintenance.

Unlike other ceramics, fireclay is strong enough to withstand sudden temperature changes and ordinary knocks and bumps. Fireclay's resistance to heat, scratches, impact and cracks means fluted drainer are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and outdoor kitchens.
