Situated on the south coast of New South Wales, Brooklyn Copper Co showers and tapware are proudly Australian owned and made. Former plumber, Simon ran a successful plumbing business for over twenty years and always loved working with copper and brass. He had a dream to get creative and work exclusively with copper and brass whilst bringing back to life the disappearing craft of bending and shaping it. He wanted to produce beautiful products that were high-quality, reliable and sustainable.

Copper and brass is the only metals that is 100% recyclable with the ability to be melted and reformed, without losing any quality or strength. It does not corrode or rust. It will absolutely transform and change colour as it adapts to the elements of the environment, but it will never lose its quality or functionality.

Brooklyn Copper Co’s use of raw organic copper and brass allows its range to develop and evolve as it ages. Over time, the raw copper and brass surface will further evolve as it reacts to the natural atmosphere it is in. Humidity, air salt content, moisture and natural oils from the skin are some factors that will initiate the patina. No two pieces will ever patina the same, resulting in a natural and unique look, giving each piece its own defined character - this is the beauty of this raw, living finish.
